A 20-year-old man from the city of Araba in the Lower Galilee was arrested on Monday while celebrating a bachelor party ahead of his wedding. The reason: carrying illegal weapons. Another young man was also arrested. The future groom will be indicted for illegal possession of weapons.

It all began when Misgav police learned that a 20-year-old man known to the police, a resident of the city of Araba, near Sakhnin, was in possession of a gun. Last night, the young man was celebrating a bachelor party with his friends ahead of his upcoming wedding, where the police surprised him and arrested him and another young man, 25, also known to the police, who grabbed a weapon during the police raid on the house and threw it away. In addition, the other participants in the bachelor party, who are well known to the police, were also detained for questioning.

Superintendent Boris Nazarov, Misgav police intelligence and detective officer, said: "We knew there was going to be joy and during that time the gun would appear. We quietly raided the place and surprised them during the party. As soon as we entered the house and the revellers realized it was the police and we saw a gun thrown."
